When Praise Was Given, She Pointed It Back to Heaven

A surprise honor at the Carlos Garcia Santos Educational Center

We didn't see this coming. What started as a normal gathering at the Carlos Garcia Santos Educational Center turned into a surprise for our founder and cofounder. They had no idea they were about to be called to the front of the room.

The school named our founders the "magical godparents" of the center, a cultural honor given to deeply valued community supporters. A plaque came with it, thanking Casa de Angeles Ministries for a selfless commitment that has become a light of hope for the students, inspiring them to grow, dream, and reach their goals.

It was humbling. But what happened next is what this ministry is really about.

She Took the Moment and Gave It to God

When our cofounder was given the microphone, she didn't give a typical thank-you speech. She turned the spotlight straight to where it always belongs.

"I want you to know that this does not come from us," she told the room. "The Lord is the one who puts love like thirst, and He is the one who has put in our hearts that we are always willing when you need us."

She asked everyone in the room to stand, then began to pray out loud. She asked God to keep sending people with good hearts to that school. She prayed over every mother in the room, asked the Lord to help each parent raise their children on the right path, and to put the right words in their mouths when it mattered most. She prayed that every child would come to know the Word of God, "which is where one does not get lost."

She closed it simply. "We love you and glorify your name, Father. This is for you, Lord. Hallelujah."

A two minute thank you turned into a room full of people standing together in prayer.
