One Home at a Time: Planting Seeds of Revival in the Dominican Republic

The Great Commission does not always require a grand cathedral, a stage, or a booming sound system. Sometimes, the most profound, life-altering movements of the Holy Spirit happen right on the floorboards of a family’s living room.

Directly from the ground on our current mission trip to the Dominican Republic, the Casa de Angeles Ministries team is witnessing a reminder of this truth. We recently stepped out of the Caribbean heat and into a local home, carrying nothing but our Bibles, our faith, and a deep desire to see lives changed.

Faith in the Everyday Spaces

At the very core of Casa de Angeles Ministries is a burning passion for house church planting. We believe that spreading the Gospel is often most effective when it is deeply personal, relational, and brought directly to where people live their daily lives.

Instead of asking the community to come to a church building, our team is bringing the church directly to them.

Gathered closely together in the living space, our team conducted a church service right there in the home. There was no pretense, no distraction—just open hearts eager for the Word of God. As the scriptures were opened and the Gospel was shared, you could feel the heavy, beautiful presence of the Holy Spirit settling over the family. Walls of doubt came down, and the pure love of Jesus Christ filled the room.

A Holy Impartation

As the service drew to a close, the afternoon culminated into a moving moment of spiritual impartation. Our mission team gathered around the members of the household, delivering a closing prayer together. A renewed sense of heavenly peace washed over the family. In this sacred moment, they were not just receiving a prayer; they were being equipped and empowered to be a beacon of light in their own neighborhood.

Sparking a Neighborhood Revival

This beautiful afternoon in the Dominican Republic is exactly why Casa de Angeles Ministries exists. Every house church planted, every living room service held, and every prayer of blessing spoken is a seed of the Gospel sown into the soil of this nation.

When a family encounters Jesus in their own home, it changes the trajectory of their entire bloodline. That home becomes a lighthouse. Neighbors notice the change, friends are invited over, and suddenly, a single living room service blossoms into a thriving community of believers.

This is how revival starts. Not with a crowd, but with a family.
