The Gospel Proclaimed Outside Yankee Stadium

On July 10, we had the opportunity to preach the Gospel outside Yankee Stadium during the Jay-Z concert. While thousands of people entered the stadium for an evening of entertainment, the message of Jesus Christ was being proclaimed outside.

Many people stopped to listen, heard the Good News, and allowed us to pray with them. It was a powerful reminder that God can reach people anywhere—even in the middle of a busy crowd outside one of New York City’s largest venues.

Several NYPD officers graciously received prayer as we thanked them for their service and asked God to protect them, strengthen them, and watch over their families.

One of the most meaningful encounters was with a Muslim woman who stopped and listened as we shared the truth about Jesus Christ and His great love for her. We were able to speak with her respectfully and let her know that the love of Christ is available to every person, regardless of their background or past.

We also prayed with a father and his daughter. After receiving prayer and hearing the message, they made the decision to leave the concert. It was a touching moment that reminded us that one encounter with God can change the direction of an entire evening—and possibly the direction of a life.

That night was not about arguing, judging, or condemning anyone. It was about making Jesus known and reminding people that there is hope, forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life through Him.

We may never know the full impact of every conversation, prayer, or seed that was planted outside Yankee Stadium. But we trust that God will continue working in every heart that heard His Word.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Please continue praying for every person who heard the Gospel that evening. Pray that the seeds planted will grow, that hearts will turn toward Jesus, and that those who received prayer will experience the transforming love and power of Christ.
